The test of food intolerance is a test that by means of a blood sample to which some reagents are applied (each one has a certain type of selected food, which is the 100 or 150 foods that are consumed the most) can be observed if It produces some kind of reaction.
The test will give us a sample of foods that we tolerate and do not tolerate. It will not tell us what we are allergic to. One thing is an allergy and another is the food that we consume and that is generating an intolerance in the body.
Clinically intolerance manifests itself with inflammation at the intestinal level, because not absorbing food well, it generates inflammation and fluid retention. And, in the long run they can provoke us a series of pathologies related to some type of allergic symptomatology although lighter, such as headache, problems of rhinitis or atopic dermatitis, etc., that is, related.
The test and the loss of weight
The food intolerance test is used to lose weight, although it is not a test to lose weight. If the foods that we do not tolerate are eliminated, digestion will be better, toxins and liquids will not be retained and, therefore, thins. However, it is not a test to lose weight, because there are patients who of 100 foods can give intolerance to 2 or none.
It is not an essential test although I personally recommend it, because when preparing a diet it is important to take into account if the patient is intolerant to any food. It is always a good tool to develop a diet with which the patient is better. If we eliminate the foods that produce intolerance we will notice an improvement not only in the functioning of our organism, but also in school performance and sports performance.
The foods that produce the most intolerance
Generally, the foods to which more intolerance is given are those that we have consumed the most. For example, in general we consume a lot of wheat and therefore we have a high degree of wheat intolerance.
We are big consumers of beverages with cola and it has been proven that there is a lot of intolerance to beverages with cola. Also coffee and, sometimes, tea. That is, there are certain elements that are very basic in our Mediterranean diet and that produce intolerances.
It is proven that if we eliminate these foods for six months, maybe if we repeat the test we will not be intolerant. Although, it may be that a person is intolerant to a food that has never been consumed.
Food intolerances in children
In the case of children, there are intolerances that appear because there is an immaturity of the digestive system. Children when they are not prepared for a certain food and we give it to them and do not assimilate it well, they become intolerant. For example, to children who are introduced to fish very soon.
We, in principle, are not born allergic to anything. We are becoming allergic with time. Our immune system is reacting to things that are going to provoke a reaction but, according to the allergists, we become allergic with time.
