Aspergillosis
Aspergillosis is a disease caused by a fungus ( or mold ) that is found in the environment ( soil, air, plants, decaying organic matter, dust, food... ) and takes the form of allergy, colonization or invasion. The species involved are more fumigatus and aspergillosis flavus aspergillosis. The disease occurs when we inhale the spores of these elements mentioned above through the air and settle on the nose, lungs and the external ear (sometimes also on the skin). It affects people who have immune system problems ( transplants, people treated with steroids or chemotherapy&hellip ;). Its most severe form is pulmonary aspergillosis that invades and damages all body tissues, especially the lungs. Particularly affects people with asthma or cystic fibrosis and presents with beeps and cough. The diagnosis is obtained by performing a chest x-ray, a CAT scan of the lungs or examination of tissues, to verify the existence of the fungus in question. Finally, treatment is based on the prescription of antifungal drugs.
