Advances in the treatment of shoulder injuries

The most significant advances are magnetic resonance and arthroscopic surgery. The resonance provides a clear diagnosis of the lesion, both qualitatively and quantitatively. Through surgery, the lesion can be repaired semi-invasively, without large surgical incisions. Advances have also been made in biocompatible materials to repair bills or prostheses.

Shoulder injuries in young athletes and adults

In the case of young people, their performance decreases considerably. The symptom known as apprehension is given, that is, the sensation or confirmation that at a given moment a dislocation will occur in the shoulder.

In the case of adults, the main problem is night pain that prevents falling asleep. Simple activities such as dressing or washing are done with great difficulty and pain. So that this does not happen, the tendons of the shoulder must be in good condition and be repaired before a severe evolutionary arthrosis develops.
