Types of footprints
Specialists Sports Medicine say there are mainly two types of steps: pronator and supinator.
- Pronator: is associated with flat feet, plantar arch with little. This is the most common. The ankle leans toward the inside of the foot.
- Supinator: is associated with pes cavus, ie far plantar arch. It is very rare and occurs when the ankle leans toward the outside of the foot.
The type of tread influences injuries. A bad footstep causes the foot does not distribute well the weight of the body. It influences the ankle, causing sprains or tendinitis; knee (sprains or tendinitis); and column (LBP).
Basic foot care
