The tank pathology is the field that includes the diagnosis and treatment of infectious complications locomotor. There are different types within the pathology. The most common are infections of the joint prosthesis, hip, knee and shoulder. They are the most frequently appearing both early character after surgery for placement of the prosthesis ( acute infections ) and those that appear in a later ( chronic infections ).

In acute cases, the symptoms we found are Pain inflammation or even fever. By contrast, there are chronic cases, the only sign that manifests is pain, which is why it is often difficult to diagnose.

Treatment of septic pathologies is based on the collaboration of a multidisciplinary team. In all cases a surgical treatment associated with correct treatment antibiotic is required and prolonged. This treatment has a positive result, and that this will get cured over 90 % of cases.
