Irritable Bowel

Irritable bowel or irritable bowel syndrome, also known as irritable bowel syndrome is a functional disorder of the large intestine. It is characterized by abnormal movements in the muscles of the intestine, which causes discomfort and abnormal functioning, as well as constipation and diarrhea alternately. With regard to their cause, often associated with stress problems, although there is evidence that these are not the cause, but only increase their impact. This condition is often confused with inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel unlike, is characterized by an abnormal structure of the colon. Its diagnosis is necessary to discard other diseases based on their symptoms and although there is no cure, being a chronic condition, it is recommended to follow a series of recommendations: reduce stress, avoid foods that contribute to their effects such as caffeine, tea, fried fats, alcohol and soft drinks, among others.
