Causes of dysfunctions
Sexual dysfunction can be symptomatic of biological problems or intrapsychic or interpersonal conflicts (or a combination of these factors ). A dysfunction may occur in the context of a stressor or emotional disgrace. These can be lifelong or acquired, and also generalized to all sexual situations or limited to a couple or given situation.
These alterations of sexuality are associated with other mental disorders such as depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders and schizophrenia. In addition, there are other diseases that can trigger more dysfunction as a symptom, such as erection disorder in humans due to the Diabetes Mellitus.
Symptoms and treatment of dysfunctions
The symptoms can range from sexual desire or absent until dysphoria postcoital ( unpleasant mood ) to the erection problems or vaginismus. These situations always affect the quality of life of the sufferer, besides undermining their self-esteem, reduce your ability to feel pleasure and influence the relationship partner.
As for the treatments, the most difficult and demanding a longer period of time are disorders of desire. A sexual relationship counseling more often directly affects the positive evolution of treatment. Individual treatment also is successful and effective.
