The eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR, its acronym in English) is a technique of Psychology indicated to treat PTSD. It is a complex therapy that integrates different elements from various approaches. The main feature of the EMDR is bilateral stimulation, which involves stimulating a brain hemisphere through sounds, eye movements or small bumps.
