Quervain syndrome
Quervain tendinitis is an inflammation of the sheath surrounding the tendons of the thumb short extensor muscles. The most common causes are associated with genetic factors, repetitive tasks that involve muscle-tendon area (using the PC keyboard, mouse, smartphone or musical instruments) overloads or rheumatic diseases. Quervain syndrome involves pain, sometimes severe, and swelling in the area between the thumb and wrist. A technique for diagnosing this syndrome is to put your thumb on the palm of the hand, close hand and bend the wrist down
