Bulimia nervosa
Bulimia is an eating behavior disorder characterized by the inability of the patient to control the urge to eat excessive amounts of food, followed by the ensuing guilt and monitoring practices to counteract the effects of large meals. Among them, the most common are self-induced vomiting, taking laxatives or diuretics, strict monitoring regimes or practice of excessive exercise. The causes of this disease include psychological, biological and social factors that cause image distortion that the subject has of himself and carried him look fat even though their weight is normal or less than adequate. Bulimia treatment should be urgent because it can cause death, and originally based in psychotherapy, even in very severe disease states may require hospitalization.
