Regenerative medicine

This is a speciality which applies principles of engineering and health science to produce biological replacements which improve or replace organs or tissues which are so damaged that they can no longer perform their functions. It treats diseases or traumas which may have irreparably damaged tissues. The most common illnesses are cardiac (heart disease, arrhythmia, heart failure, etc.), leukaemia, degenerative diseases (DDD, osteoarthritis, etc.), lymphomas, and monogenetic diseases (cystic fibrosis, Huntingdon’s disease, muscular dystrophy, etc.).
