Thrombophilia

A thrombosis is the interruption of blood flow by a blood clot. Thrombophilia is a greater than normal tendency to form clots. This tendency can be inherited or may occur in a given (acquired) time. There are many genetic alterations with an increased risk of thrombus. There are also many situations where this trend is multiplied.
