Pleural mesothelioma is a cancer that affects the mesothelium, a tissue that covers the internal organs. One cause of this cancer is represented by asbestos exposure and relative: in fact, if that mineral is inhaled, corruption mesothelial cells occurs. The disease can occur even after many years after exposure.
