The lack of sexual, or hypoactive sexual desire, desire refers to low interest in sex, temporary or permanent. It affects both men and women, and can be a secondary primary condition (the person has never felt much sexual interest) or (the person I used to experience sexual desire, but lost). The lack of sexual drive in men and in women often occurs mainly because of (rather than physical) psychological problems, such as lack of communication or affection, power struggles, very strict sexual education or traumatic sexual experiences. Conditions such as stress and depression, particularly if a medication is followed, may also contribute to this dysfunction. To treat a disorder of sexual desire is advisable to consult a specialist in sexual and marital therapy.
