Low back pain or back pain in the lower back is a pathology caused by various factors, such as excessive stress or poor posture. Less common are low back pain caused by more serious problems like herniated discs. The low back pain is usually because the lumbar spine, the final segment of the spine, has endured excessive weight. The main symptom of this injury is pain that is usually located in the lower back, and sometimes can reach legs. This pathology may cause alterations in the different structures that form the backbone as ligaments, muscles, spinal discs and vertebrae. In addition, low back pain can be accompanied by a muscular contraction in the area that limits the mobility of this body part.
