Written by:What aspects should be corrected to rejuvenate the face?
Facial rejuvenation aims three major pillars, which are the treatment and prevention of wrinkles, collagen production to maintain skin elasticity and tissue regeneration. With these three lines we rejuvenation treatment and keep the skin as smooth and with better quality over a long period of time.
What facial rejuvenation techniques currently?
The main techniques of facial rejuvenation that I consider most successful include botulinum toxin, commonly known as Botox. Nonablative lasers, with tensioning threads to treat skin elasticity, preventing sagging, and as a regenerating tissue platelet rich plasma. Together these three are the main pillars, which could add other treatments as they are are peels and facial mesotherapy for physical and chemical treatment at skin level.
What advantages and disadvantages presented each of them?
These rejuvenation techniques I mentioned have no major contraindication except platelet-rich plasma it should be avoided in patients with neoplastic or cancer history and, in summer, the chemical peel that should not be done because there should be no sun exposure.
Do any of them have risks or side effects?
As I said above, the platelet-rich plasma is treatment and stimulates cell regeneration, mitosis, should be avoided and is actually contraindicated in patients with neoplastic or cancer history because it can stimulate and be a recurrence or form another new neoplastic process. Regarding the summer the chemical peel is completely contraindicated by sun exposure, which although not directly by sunny conditions this season, it is not advisable performed.
