The digitization of Dentistry

While that digitization has landed in our lives to make us easier our day to day. We all have some of these devices, such as mobile, devices that allow us to control appliances remotely, or even one that tells us that we need food in the fridge.

Specifically, in the field of dentistry, one of the greatest advances achieved is the digitization of the working tools. This change brings great benefits to our patients, both in their diagnosis, communication with them, as in the development of your treatment plan; and, above all, it has changed the way intervenirles.

Since many years we have some progress in the field of diagnostic ago; analog left behind, such as digital images in 2D and CT helped us to have a plan of trafficking-ment. We lacked how to convey information to the patient, both in diagnosis and treatment plan, in order to be treated.

Currently we already have these tools that allow us to be treated; we can speak of a before and after in dentistry. These new technologies, it is our day to day within the con-consultation.

This great leap that has occurred is given mainly by 3D images and motion pictures, in addition to the advancement in technologies already used it , as 3D printing, design and manufacturing computer (CAD-CAM), which which it allows us to design and manufacture a wide range of structures for different specialties, fully customized to our patients.

Having this factor allows us to perform minimally invasive treatments and reduce treatment time and dating a large number of specialties within dentistry.

As it is a broad field, we will explain step by step, and specialty by specialty, which gives us this new era and, of course, given the boom of it, understand that it is an invaluable aid to the great manual work of technical , auxiliaries, hygienists, computer ... and doctors. It allows the performance of the whole team is much more beneficial for the patient, which is our ultimate goal.
