• He started the operation of the Genetic Counseling Unit in Oncology, one of the pioneers of this country.
• He worked in the Molecular Oncology Laboratory of the Medical Oncology Service of San Carlos Clinical University Hospital, in the field of hereditary cancer, 1998-1999.
• Coordinator of the Neurooncology Committee of the San Carlos Clinical Hospital of Madrid.

• He has been Coordinator and one of the founders of the Hereditary Cancer Section of the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM), being, at this time, adviser of the same. Similarly, within this scientific Society has held the position of Scientific Secretary.
• Vice President of GEINO (Spanish Group of Research in Neurooncology).
