Brain metastasis
It is a type of cancer that started elsewhere in the body, and that has spread to the brain. The tumor types that most often develop metastases in the brain are melanoma, lung carcinoma, breast carcinoma and kidney. However, other types of cancers rarely spread to the brain, such as colon or prostate cancer. In other cases, rare, a tumor can spread to the brain from an unknown location. I then spoke of unknown primary cancer. The rate of cancers that cause brain metastasis is approximately one fourth. When this occurs metastasis, the tumor occurs in the brain and in their growth, cause inflammation and intracranial pressure.
