Aniridia

Aniridia is a congenital and hereditary eye disorder that usually occurs in both eyes and is characterized by incomplete development of the iris. Although the term aniridia refers etymologically to the lack of the iris, it is only the lack of training of part thereof, that has failed to develop at all. As a result, vision is impaired, leading to decrease to 20% in some cases. Moreover, aniridia can lead to various eye diseases such as glaucoma or cataracts. So far, there is no specific treatment for this disease, so the treatment will depend on the degree of side effects suffered by each patient.
