What makes this medical centre first class
El Instituto Madrileño de Traumatología IMTRA trabaja para solucionar problemas musculoesqueléticos del aparato locomotor del ser humano. Para ello usa nuevos materiales y avances tecnológicos que se van produciendo, a la vez que investiga en nuevas técnicas y desarrollos, sobre todo en el terreno de la cirugía ortopédica (diseño de prótesis, comercializadas en la actualidad). También están trabajando en el tratamiento de factores de crecimiento a partir de plasma enriquecido del propio paciente. Entre sus tratamientos destaca la artroscopia, mosaicoplastia, cirugía percutánea del Hallux valgus, empleo de protesis de tantalio y prótesis a medida. Además también realizan cirugía de mínima incisión (MIS: minimal incision surgery).
