Endoscopic Frontal Lifting ( ENDOTINE® )
Written by:As we age, the soft tissues of our body show a decrease in their original position due to morphological changes (due to age, sun exposure, stress, ...) and by the action of gravity. One of the regions with the greatest impact on facial aging is the upper third of the face (brow and brow) both for its meaning of facial expression and for what represents a good position of the eyebrows as a sign of youth.
The endoscopic frontal facelift is performed by two small incisions at the level of the scalp and through endoscopic procedure the dissection of the frontal region to the tail of the eyebrow is performed, controlling and respecting the supraorbital and supratrochlear vessels and nerves.
For the treatment of frontal wrinkles and between the eyebrows, eyebrow elevation and forehead lift, the classic intervention uses the bicoronal incision, normally located within the scalp and extending from ear to ear.
The use of endoscopy in frontal surgery allows us to obtain good aesthetic results without the possible complications that the classic frontal facelift can cause, such as the large coronal scar and scarring alopecia in the area.
If the deformity is not very pronounced we could also treat this entire region through the incision of the upper blepharoplasty (incision located in the upper eyelid).
To maintain the traction of the skin without scalp resection we use a tension or tension system called ENDOTINE® that achieves the elevation of the external third of the eyebrow (tail of the eyebrow) and stretch of the frontal region skin, achieving an appearance more youthful look (rejuvenation of the look).
It is a resorbable device (therefore there will be no need to remove it in a 2nd surgical procedure) for soft tissue fixation in frontal lifting surgery. With Endotine®, it is not necessary to use sutures to fix the tissues, thus preventing their dehiscence and preventing tissue strangulation.
