The chin surgery is a surgical technique in which a osteotomy is performed on the chin, mobilizing it to change its position, setting the new position with a titanium miniplate. It can be performed in isolation or as an accompaniment to more complex procedures in orthognathic surgery which also mobilizes the mandible and / or maxilla.

Primarily in cases in which the chin is retruded, low projection, giving patients an appearance of double chin or gill. It is also widely used in cases where the chin is asymmetric, offset to one side. It is also possible to use it in cases of vertical excess, in which the chin is too long.

First assessing the patient in front and profile examines the situation of the chin. If we see the patient has a retruded jaw, short, with little projection of the chin.

We conducted a scanner to the patient through a virtual software program planning appreciated in all dimensions of the patient's jaw. In conjunction with the examination of the patient and other explorations are virtually planned progress of the jaw and also a mentoplasty overtaking.
