The lipoinjerto: a durable, and reliable alternative biological
Written by:Grafting procedures fat, fat grafting, lipofillings, lipoimplantes or lipoinjections are basically portions of adipose tissue graft receptor sites in order to modify the shape, contour or to use their regenerative capabilities. The most important thing is that the fragments of fat to be grafted must be liposuccionado very delicately and with very small sizes to facilitate their later survival.
With the grafts of fat you can model the entire face, the torso of men, the breasts of women (during an aesthetic increase or as reconstruction), the forearms or arms, hands and wrists, calves, thighs and ankles, penis and labia minora. In reparative surgery it can serve as a regenerative material that allows to eliminate or improve fibrosis, scars, adhesions or to help the closing of ulcers among many others.
The structure and characteristics of adipose tissue allow it to be easily collected by aspiration through small diameter cannulas (around 2 or 3 millimeters). The adipose tissue thus collected, can be injected through needles or cannulae around 1.5 to 2 millimeters. So, whatever the location of the lipograft, it can be performed virtually without scars or with imperceptible incisions.
The great advantage, compared to the other types of fillers that exist, is that the adipose tissue is grafted as such, it is a biological material that is taken and placed in the patient's pamper. Therefore, there will never be rejections or abnormal behaviors in the short or long term. Being a living tissue will age with the patient or accompany him in his weight changes.
Duration
The Lipoinjerto is a durable, biological and more reliable alternative to solid or injectable synthetic implants, since it does not develop the potential side effects of these. It also has regenerative capacity thanks to stem cells. Once the grafted fat has ignited and survived, it becomes a tissue like any other and, therefore, does not disappear. It is evident that with aging or changes in weight there may be changes in the areas previously treated and, therefore, it is possible that the patient needs additional treatments.
