Increasing and breast lift surgery
Written by:Intervening the breast means for the woman to look a new look and feel better with herself. The passage of age, which makes the breasts tend to fall, or the simple fact of having a small breast, makes certain women want to enjoy a beautiful neckline and recover an attraction they consider lost through cosmetic surgery.
The increase and elevation of breasts are different techniques designed to increase the volume and lift a bust fallen or undersized. According to the needs of the patient, the surgeon will perform one or another intervention.
Breast augmentation
The size of the breasts is increased by the introduction of prostheses, chosen by the surgeon through prior consultations with the patient. Implants can be of two types in shape: round or anatomical. Nowadays, anatomies are used more, since they adjust to the morphology of a breast, and the objective is not other than to achieve a look as close to a natural breast.
Breast lift
If the breasts, however, are " fallen ", " empty ", the required intervention is a breast lift. This surgery can be performed with or without prosthesis, which will be appreciated by the surgeon, because the purpose is that the breast has a natural shape, recovering its original appearance.
The surgeon designs the pattern on which he will work to get nice breasts by means of markers, and the technique he uses is called mastopexy. This consists of cutting out the excess skin of the breast and adjusting the rest until the desired elevation is achieved.
Breast asymmetry and other abnormalities
When performing an increase or elevation, you can correct in the same surgical process an excessive size of the areolas or irregularities in the nipple, as the nipple invaginated (inward) or if on the contrary it protrudes too much.
In this intervention, the breasts are also matched if they have a difference in size or position between both, remarkable and not very aesthetic.
